Unprepared for a Risky Future

WASHINGTON, May 16, 2016- A new report is warning that the world is ill-prepared for an increasing rise in disasters, spurred by climate change, rising populations and increasing vulnerability of people in large cities and unregulated housing.

Emerging and developing economies will still account for the lion’s share of world growth. But their prospects remain subdued, particularly for two reasons that are important to Iran: the sharp fall in commodity prices led by oil, and China’s economic rebalancing....IMF

Οι Οικονομικοί spreadbetter  αναμένουν ότι ο FTSE 100 της Βρετανίας θα ανοίξει περίπου 18 μονάδες υψηλότερα, ή 0,30% ο DAX της Γερμανίας θα ανοίξει 38 μονάδες υψηλότερα, ή 0,40%, και ο CAC 40 της Γαλλίας θα ανέβει  10 μονάδες, ή 0,2%,

Import prices from China decrease 1.9 percent over the year ending in April 2016

Import prices from China edged down 0.1 percent in April, after consecutive 0.2-percent decreases in March and February. 

U.S. crude oil production is projected to decrease from an average of 9.4 million b/d in 2015 to 8.6 million b/d in 2016 and to 8.2 million b/d in 2017. The 2017 forecast is more than 0.1 million b/d higher than forecast in the April STEO because of higher expected crude oil prices....Report USA - EIA
