The EU28 seasonally adjusted current account of the balance of payments recorded a surplus of €8.4 bn in July 2016, compared with surpluses of €15.2 bn in June 2016 and €10.3 bn in July 2015, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

In July 2016 the current account of the euro area recorded a surplus of €21.0 billion.[1]
