Low-wage jobs have been a focus of debate in six countries across Europe during 2016. However, the issues discussed have reflected differing national concerns. For some countries, the key issue is the integration of migrants into the labour market; for others, how to stimulate job creation and reduce unemployment.

Άρθρο 1

1. Η χορήγηση πρόσθετης παράτασης της προθεσμίας ολοκλήρωσης για δεκαπέντε (15) επιπλέον μήνες, ήτοι μέχρι τις 30 Ιουνίου 2018, σύμφωνα με την περίπτωση α της παραγράφου 1 του άρθρου 76 του ν. 4399/2016, στα επενδυτικά σχέδια που έχουν υπαχθεί στις διατάξεις του ν. 3299/2004 ..

Non-technical summary

In June 2014, the Governing Council of the ECB decided to decrease the deposit facility rate, one of its key policy rates, from zero to -10 basis points. Another rate cut to -20 basis points followed in September. Swap and bond yields of short- to medium-term maturities eventually turned negative as well. The removal of the zero lower bound raises the question of how to analyze the driving forces and exploit the information content of the yield curve in an unprecedented negative-rate environment.

1. What is the Capital Markets Union (CMU)?

The Commission's top priority is to strengthen Europe's economy and stimulate investment to create jobs. The EUR 315 billion Investment Plan for Europe helped to kick-start that process. We need stronger capital markets to strengthen investment in the long term. These would provide new sources of funding for business and entrepreneurs, help increase options for savers and make the economy more resilient. That is why President Juncker set out, as one of his key priorities, the need to build a true single market for capital – a Capital Markets Union (CMU) for all Member States.
