Investment Plan for Europe: EIF and British Business Bank sign GBP 30m agreement for innovative businesses

The European Investment Fund (EIF) and the British Business Bank, have signed an InnovFin agreement for SMEs, benefiting from the support of the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the heart of the Investment Plan for Europe.

Africa: Economic transformation hinges on unlocking potential of cities, says the African Economic Outlook 2016

                            

Lusaka, Zambia, 23 May 2016 - With two-thirds of Africans expected to live in cities by 2050, how Africa urbanises will be critical to the continent’s future growth and development, according to the African Economic Outlook 2016 released today at the African Development Bank Group’s 51st Annual Meetings.

It is important that banks hold enough regulatory capital and high-quality liabilities to absorb potential losses in case they have to be resolved. Today's implementing rules help ensure that. Σύμφωνα με τα προσωρινά στοιχεία, το ταξιδιωτικό ισοζύγιο το Μάρτιο του 2016 εμφάνισε πλεόνασμα 62 εκατ. ευρώ, έναντι πλεονάσματος 64 εκατ. ευρώ τον αντίστοιχο μήνα του 2015.
