Dear Minister Lienenkämper, Ladies and gentlemen,

I am pleased to speak at the representation of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Luxembourg and the ESM are closer to North Rhine-Westphalia than you might think. Only a few meters from the building of the ESM – right in the heart of the European quarter – is the "Boulevard Konrad Adenauer". The first Chancellor of Germany is probably the most known Rhinelander. In 1957, he was awarded the Luxembourg Grand Cross of the Order of the Oak Crown. Already as a chancellor, Adenauer supported European integration.

Δελτίο  Τύπου  - ΔΕΙΚΤΗΣ ΤΙΜΩΝ ΠΑΡΑΓΩΓΟΥ ΣΤΗ ΒΙΟΜΗΧΑΝΙΑ: Δεκέμβριος 2018, ετήσια μείωση 0,1%

Ο Γενικός Δείκτης Τιμών Παραγωγού στη Βιομηχανία (σύνολο εγχώριας και εξωτερικής αγοράς), με έτος βάσης 2010=100,0 και μήνα αναφοράς τον Δεκέμβριο 2018, σε σύγκριση με τον αντίστοιχο δείκτη του Δεκεμβρίου 2017, παρουσίασε μείωση 0,1% έναντι αύξησης 2,1% που σημειώθηκε κατά την αντίστοιχη σύγκριση των δεικτών του έτους 2017 με το 2016 (Πίνακας 1.Ι).

Το παράδοξο της αύξησης των Ελληνικών εξαγωγών και της στασιμότητας της διείσδυσής τους στις παγκόσμιες αγορές

Το 2000 το παγκόσμιο εμπόριο ανερχόταν σε ονομαστικές τιμές σε €7 τρισ. και το 2017 σε €15,7 τρισ., σημειώνοντας μια αύξηση κατά 124%.Αντίστοιχα, οι ελληνικές εξαγωγές διαμορφώνονται σήμερα σε €32 δισ. έναντι €13 δισ. το 2000. Ως ποσοστό, όμως, των παγκόσμιων εξαγωγών ανέρχονται σε 0,184%, στο ίδιο περίπου επίπεδο των αρχών της 10ετίας του 2000, αν και η τάση στη σημερινή συγκυρία είναι ανοδική.

Information received since the Federal Open Market Committee met in December indicates that the labor market has continued to strengthen and that economic activity has been rising at a solid rate. Job gains have been strong, on average, in recent months, and the unemployment rate has remained low. Household spending has continued to grow strongly, while growth of business fixed investment has moderated from its rapid pace earlier last year.

Data on contingent liabilities and non-performing loans of EU governments for the year 2017 have been published today by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. 

This publication includes data on government guarantees, liabilities related to public-private partnerships recorded off-balance sheet of government and liabilities of government controlled entities (public corporations) classified outside general government. Contingent liabilities are only potential liabilities.
