Το μήνα Ιανουάριο 2017 το ταμειακό αποτέλεσμα της κεντρικής διοίκησης παρουσίασε πλεόνασμα 183 εκατ. ευρώ, έναντι πλεονάσματος 287 εκατ. ευρώ τον Ιανουάριο του 2016.

Publication -  German banks feeling the pressure in the face of low interest rates

A prolonged phase of low interest rates would further squeeze German banks' core business interest margin. As a result, the share of credit institutions facing difficulties in earning their cost of capital could rise. This was the conclusion reached by a team of authors from the Bundesbank and the European School of Management and Technology Berlin in a new discussion paper, whose co-authors include Bundesbank Executive Board member Andreas Dombret.

In December 2016 the current account of the euro area recorded a surplus of €31.0 billion.[1]

In the financial account, combined direct and portfolio investment recorded net acquisitions of assets of €22 billion and net reductions of liabilities of €101 billion.
